When Hades was born his father, Cronus, swallowed him and his sibling whole. He swallowed them because he didn’t want a prophecy to come true that said that a son of Cronus would dethrone him.

When Rhea gave birth to Hades, Cronus swallowed him because he didn’twant theprophecy to come true. The Prophecy said that one of Cronus’ sons would dethrone him.
In the underworld near Tartarus, Hades snuck around the back of Cronus and distracted him while Zeus cut up Cronus and cast his pieces into Tartarus.
Hades was known as the lord of the dead. This title was given to him after the titan war where Hades helped his brothers defeat their father Cronus. It was given to him because of his harsh and inexplicable nature. He was known for unleashing his wrath on innocent people.
Hades possessed a helm called “The Helm of Darkness”. This made the wearer invisible and able to walk through walls. This was given to him during the Titan War by the Cyclopes.
Hades is the King of the Underworld. The underworld is the realm of the dead. It is located miles below the surface. This is the place where if you died you would go here.

Hades fell in love with Persephone. He wanted her as a bride. So he went and abducted her when she was picking flowers by putting a special flower to capture her. She didn’t want to stay because she missed her mother Demeter.Hades gave her a Pomegranate to make her want to stay. So every half year she goes and lives with Hades and the other half with her mother Demeter.

Hades has a 15-foot tall dog that has 3 heads and guards the gate to the underworld whose name is Cerberus. Hades has Cerberus because he doesn’t like visitors or the living to enter.
The Greeks were afraid to speak the name Hades because they thought it brought bad fortune and a short life. That’s why the Greeks said the name Pluto.
The Greeks believed that if a person wasn’t buried right then they wouldn’t go to the underworld to Hades.
Explanation of Colors and MusicThe colors i used were Dark Blue and Black. They represent the darkness of the underworld and the souls down there. The music starts out representing how hades helped his brothers defeat their father. Then it moves to represent how he was in love with Persephone. It then moves to represent the underworld as itself.
